FTM 2006 question ?

I have added my Fathers child from his first marriage to my mother - help? I can't see how I detach him from my mother??

I have him correctly with Father & his mother

but only just realised I have him with Father & my Mother :(

Any help appreciated

Before you start detaching a person from a relationship it is advisable to do a back up .... just in case something goes wrong! :)

Go to the family view, so you can see the parents at the top and the child in the listing below.

With your cursor on the child,
select PEOPLE / FIX RELATIONSHIP / DETACH CHILD
If there are siblings it will ask if you want to detach them as well - answer yes or no as appropriate.

Then if necessary, you go to the right set of parents, and
select PEOPLE / FIX RELATIONSHIP / ATTACH CHILD
- but if he is already attached to the right set of parents then you shouldn't need to do this.
