My Dongle wont work ????

As it was mentioned that a Dongle might help my signal with my Laptop I purchased one and set it up
It should also let you view digital tv but when I try to tune it in I get the message there is a problem with my audio sound ??? also when it has finished searching it says no channels found ????
I have moved it to a few different areas and still nothing any ideas thanks

What is it supposed to do ?
