Vista and firewalls

I've got a friend who runs on Vista and is trying to download MSN Messenger. It keeps coming up with an error due to a firewall.

Can some kind soul please tell me how to advise him to allow MSN access?

what firewall has he got ??? there is usually somewhere in the programme you can click on and put the website address in to allow
Also sometimes if you hold the control key down before trying to access the site it will allow it , but I am sure someone will come along to help you better than I can

Can't help. I have Vista and I managed to get on MSN!
