Where have they vanished to?

I am trying to pit my Hinson tree in order so that I can send the info to my Aunt (well actually she is my cousin, but I was brought up to call my elders Aunt......Anyway sidetracked sorry)

My sticking point seems to be Elias Hinson

Born 1828 Hertfordshire

1841 Dell Lane, Bishops Stortford with parents

1851 at 88 Melbourne Terrace, Paddington, London - Occupation Labourer (HO107/1467 / 806 pg 51)

1861 at 4 Vernon Terrace, Kensington Town, London - Occupation Painters Labourer (Class: RG9; Piece: 14; Folio: 108; Page: 32). With him are the following people
Johannah (wife) age 27 Born London
Sarah (Dau) age 6 Born Kingston on Thames Surrey
Elias (Son) age 4 Born Holloway, Middex
Eliza (Dau) age 2 Born Holloway, Middex
John (Son) age 1 Born Paddington, Middex

Now I have found a possible marriage for Elias in 1862 to either Hannah Corbett or Susannah Marsh.

Elias died in 1892 in Paddington, So where is he and his family in 71,81 and 91?

The only one of his children I have managed to trace is Elias Jr, In 1875 he joined the Navy so he is ok - But the others are stressing me out

Anything you can suggest we be much appreciated

Do you have the death certificate for Elias - if so do you have an address?

Hi Tom, I have seen that one, but as you say the only correct info is name and DOB,

It is possible I suppose that he went to ireland with the family, left them there and came back and remarried and had another child.

I can't see them in 1891 though so it doesn't help:(

Just checked 1891 census and found Elias and son James both born England, Elias age 58 (born 1833)........Hmmmm

Elias is widowed

Sorry no death cert, he's not my direct line, so trying (like most of us) to spend as little as possible.

but that Elias and James I have fiund are the same ones that I posted about earlier...

I know Tom, I was just posting that I had found them, I think it might be my Elias as its not really a common name ;)

But where does James come in?
Who is Kate?
Where are the other family members?

Elias Hinson married JAS1866 to either Matilda Appleton or Catherine Murphy!!! didn't waste any time did he?

My guess is Catherine Murphy would be Kate - Hmmm, what do you think?
