I am looking for the marriage of Emma Wood, born 1890 in Wetherby, W. Yorkshire, daughter of Laura Cecelia and William Wood. I have an old photo of her with her eldest child taken about 1911 - the child looks about 2 yrs old, so it is a guess as to when she married. Can anyone help please as I no longer have Ancestry.

Stella,

There are about 14 Emma Wood marriages in Yorkshire from 1906 to 1910. I take it you have no idea of hubby's name?

Chris

Sorry Chrissie had to go for a while. No, have no idea of her hubby's name. That is what I would like to find out, but how?

Stella, have you checked to see if either (or both) of her parents left a will? Or any other relative who died after her marriage and might have mentioned her in their will?

HI

I don't suppose you even have a first name of any of the children born to Emma Wood, do you?

nah that would be too easy, LOL

Wendy, my late mother said Emma's eldest child, a boy, was named George, but sorry to say, my mother was a little forgetful in her later years, so I'm afraid I'm not relying too much on that information. KiteRunner, no haven't looked at Wills, will have a look tomorrow. Thank you both.:)

HI Stella

Ok then I wont trawl through the birth indexes then especially since the unknown child may have been born before the 1911 added info of mothers maiden name being used.

Do you have your tree on Genes?

Only asking as there is someone who has an Emma Wood bn 1890 Boston Lane, Wetherby in their tree.

Yes Wendy, that is where Emma was born and the tree on Genes could possibly be mine, as I have it on there. What is the person's name who's tree it belongs to? I use a different name on there.

:D Wendy - that's me !! Thanks for looking and pointing it out though!:) I think I will give up on this brick wall for a while and have a rest! East Point, because I am at the most easterly point of the British Isles.
